The construction or rehabilitation of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, dams, irrigation channels, public utility buildings and many others, can be done in numerous ways. Before commencing works, the engineer and the TAO decision-makers have to choose not only on what or where to build the asset, but also decide how to build the asset i.e. the method of construction and the technology to be used. These decisions are important when the potential exists to make use of local resources, which may have many advantages for the local population. The underlying principles for doing this are explained in Figure 22, and can be used as guidance. Often health care workers are asked to support a child or a weak or elderly patient which puts them in the direct beam. Workers involved in the treatment or caring for a patient with a radioactive implant can be exposed to ionizing radiation. Radioisotopes are swallowed, injected or implanted into patients for diagnostic or treatment purposes. Some radiation goes through walls. Patients being treated with radioisotopes may emit gamma rays or have therapeutic implants that emit gamma and beta radiation. Cobalt-60 and cesium-137 are examples of radioisotopes that emit gamma rays. Gold-198, iodine-131 and cobalt-60 are examples of radioisotopes that emit beta particles. Radium 226 and 222 are examples of emitters of alpha particles and tazorac. Internally, TAO uses the ACE Service Configurator framework to allow applications to configure the ORB at run-time. Applications provide a file named svc.conf with options that configure appropriate strategies in to the ORB. The options enable developers to control the behavior of the factories, strategies, and resources that the ORB uses. By default, TAO provides the following set of factories: 1. Default Resource and Advanced Resource Factories. This factory controls the creation of configurable resources used by TAO's ORB core. The resource factory is responsible for constructing and providing access to various resources used by the ORB irrespective of whether they perform client or server roles. ORB resources include reactors, protocol factories, message flushing strategies, connection purging strategies and different IOR parsers. 2. Server Strategy Factory. This factory creates various strategies of special utility to the ORB that is useful for controlling the behavior of servers. This factory is responsible for creating strategies useful for server objects like the concurrency strategy and the request demultiplexing strategies used by the POA. 3. Client Strategy Factory. This factory creates various strategies of special utility to the ORB, useful for controlling the behavior of clients. This factory is responsible for creating strategies useful for clients such as request multiplexing strategies, wait strategies, connect strategies etc. Options specified via a svc.conf file can represent either the components provided by TAO including the Resource Factory, and the Server Strategy Factory and Client Strategy Factory ; or customized components developed by the users. The service configurator file svc.conf ; provided by the user identifies the components to be loaded with the required strategies for each component and tao.

In both patients, the deethylated lidocaine metabolite glycylxylidide GX ; was undetectable during their initial response to lidocaine, but the failure of lidocaine therapy was accompanied by the appearance of GX in the blood. These observations raise the possibility that accumulation of GX may be responsible for the loss of responsiveness to lidocaine. It is conceivable that structural analogues of lidocaine can bind to a and telithromycin.
